Cool Classic Trucks And Hot American Muscle Cars Hit

What’s in a name? For the QruisinPCH Crew it was simple. The world was on lockdown and there weren’t a whole lot of interesting things to do, but they had their cars. They would get together and cruise, get more people to join them, and the Quarantine Cruise was born.

We may be a couple of years removed from the days of rationing toilet paper and hoarding spaghetti noodles (like you didn’t) but the Cruise—still referred to by its original name—continues, with what has developed into the largest rolling monthly car show anywhere.

While car shows, rallies, tours, and local cars-and-coffee gatherings have returned, the Quarantine Cruise and its massive gathering of hot rods, muscle cars, trucks, K5 Blazers, Broncos, and VWs has carved its niche as a must-attend gathering among the SoCal faithful.

The world remains an interesting place in light of the constant volley of international and economic updates, but once again, as the Quarantine Cruise gathered in May for the 27th edition of the event, the crowds came in droves, rolling in bright and early and packing the expansive SOCO and the MIX design and culinary facility with examples of nearly every year, make, and model of classic car and truck imaginable.

“It’s about community, good vibes, and the fact that you never know what you’re going to see at the Quarantine Cruise,” said co-founder Ken Johnson. “People roll in with smiles on their faces. There are photographers and videographers everywhere you look, capturing the action, and there is an incredible level of excitement in the air.”

Those smiles and that excitement continued throughout the morning, over coffee and breakfast as participants and spectators alike shared in their common appreciation for all things on wheels. Then, seemingly on cue, the assembled masses, estimated to be more than 1,000 vehicles, fired up their engines and took to the road to enjoy the springtime sunshine along the famed Pacific Coast Highway.

Attracting endless thumbs-up from families parked along the side of the road to take in the miles-long hot rod parade, the group diced and revved and cruised along the picturesque route, eventually arriving in Long Beach, California, at the Wahoo’s Fish Tacos restaurant to reacquaint themselves and find the cars that caught their eyes while enjoying fresh tacos and a cerveza.

“It was a good day,” said one of the group’s other co-founders, Hek Valdez. “What can be better? We’re here at the beach surrounded by amazing people and incredible rides, and everyone is having a great time. That’s the best part of all of this. Things can get a little crazy and unpredictable these days, but that’s all forgotten when everyone comes together to cruise. It’s special and we’re honored that we have so much support from such a great community of people who choose to spend their time hanging out with us.”

  1. There are certainly quite a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a nice point to deliver up. I supply the ideas above as normal inspiration but clearly there are questions just like the one you carry up where an important thing will probably be working in sincere good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged round issues like that, but I’m sure that your job is clearly recognized as a good game. Both girls and boys feel the affect of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.

  2. An impressive share! I have just forwarded this onto a coworker who had been conducting a little homework on this. And he in fact bought me breakfast because I found it for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending time to discuss this topic here on your internet site.
