If you’re out in the bush with your offroad rig having a blast and getting all dirty, the second last thing you’d expect to see is a lifted Corvette with mid tires and four-wheel-drive, and the absolute last thing you would expect would be that it actually pulls you out when you get stuck. That’s what happened over on Sendit Steve’s YouTube channel when a friend of Steve’s got his lifted GMC Yukon stuck way out in the bush with no help in sight.
Before the rescue, however, the Corvette gets a proper test offroad, tackling rock crawling and mud obstacles like a boss, with no hiccups or hint of any problems. Even the lights work with Steve remarking “I wired this right!”
Once the lifted Yukon comes out to play, apparently it just can’t hang with the atmospheric sports car and gets high centered on a big rock almost immediately. The longer wheelbase of the GMC Yukon might have something to do with the stiction, or it could be the street tires.
But at any rate, it was going to need help returning back to the ground, and the Corvette was the only tool for the job, apparently. After a couple of muddy yanks, Steve manages to pull the GMC Yukon off the rock and back down to earth.
