Epic Mopar American Muscle Junkyard With Barn Finds Galore.

One person’s trash is another one’s treasure. This junkyard hosts a wealth of barn finds that include iconic 1960s and 1970s Mopar muscle cars.
A secret Mopar junkyard in North Carolina? For any classic car lover, this sounds like a wonderful trip, to give its audience a walkaround into the rather “fertile” area of classic rescued cars.

A Goldmine Of Rescued Barn Finds

So this Mopar mine in North Carolina is no ordinary one. It’s “a goldmine of rescued barn finds, other junkyards, peoples yards, etc… The owner rescued them from all over so they wouldn’t get crushed. Now he has a fertile yard that he uses to buy/sell/trade for his collection of vehicles.”

It’s like the ‘60s, frozen in time, with glorious muscle cars in various states of decomposition. Brutt started the walkaround by listing out a few Plymouth Fury models and then moved on to Coronets and Satellites before finding a Plymouth Road Runner and a Dodge Super Bee.

Brutt gets most model years right as he lists out more Coronets and Satellites, before moving on to Dodge Chargers. We get more of a Mopar rush as Brutt kept reciting the name and model years of A-body cars like Dodge Dusters, Darts, and a few Barracudas mixed in. He also pointed his camera towards a Chrysler New York Wagon, owned by the Petty family as one of the original car haulers, which he found to be pretty cool.

More junked cars littered the area, with some even being cop cars. From then on, the cars started to get even older, with many like a Plymouth Business Coupe hailing from the ‘50s.

The Owner Keeps The Cars Around For Parts

Later Brutt also started to get up, close, and personal with some of the cars he found rather desirable, like a Dodge Dart GTS 340, which he feels has the potential to become a great restomod for someone.

Mike’s the owner of this yard and according to Brutt, he’s been working on cars all his life, and also collecting them for the longest of times. The idea behind the yard is to keep all the cars he might need for parts, considering Mopar cars come pretty rare, on the whole. Mike’s now retired and many of his cars are being grabbed up by his speed and race-happy family. Clearly, this Mopar junkyard is more than just cars laid to rest. It’s a DIY waiting to happen.
