Field Of Dreams With Abandoned Classic Dodge Chargers.

In this video, the team saves a 1970 Dodge Charger and a few other Mopar muscle cars.

Rescued From A Field: 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE

From the beginning of the video, the first thing we see is a blue 1970 Dodge Charger with a worn and tattered white vinyl top. As the Auto Archaeology host describes the car and talks to the owner, we learn the car has blue leather bucket seats matching the blue exterior, automatic transmission with a column-mounted shifter, and a six-pack carburetor set-up.

Unfortunately, opening the hood reveals a missing six-pack intake manifold and the carburetors, which we learned disappeared sometime before.

For a field find, the 52-year-old Dodge Charger is in good condition. A little rust adorns the fenders and tail-lights, the hood and grill have scars from a collision with a horse, and the once pristine leather interior cracked and faded, but overall the car will make a full recovery in the right hands.

Other Mopars In The Field

Next to the blue Charger is another 1970 Dodge Charger. This one is in a semi-rare yellow color with a 383 cubic-inch V8 and equipped with a factory four-speed transmission.
Close to the blue Charger sit two 1968 Plymouth Satellite convertibles. The red Satellite is in better condition, complete with doors, but the green Satellite is a Sport trimmed model. Both cars appear relatively rust-free, but get very little video attention.

The white 1966 Coronet is a gem with all the parts for a complete rolling shell, despite its preparation for a race car project that was never finished. Additionally, the car sat inside a building without carpet or any upholstery to hold moisture, resulting in solid floorboards and only minor surface rust to the exterior.

If you’re dreaming of finding a project car in a barn or sitting in a field but fear they are all gone, keep your eyes open because they are still out there.

  2. Howdy would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m looking to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a tough time selecting between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!|
