This 1955 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon Is Hiding A V8 Under The Hood.

This is rather unusual 1955 Chevrolet 210 Handyman Wagon. This has become something of a project car, as it now features a 454 ci V8 engine to drastically alter the power it can give.

Exploring The Wagon In Detail

The Wagon is currently in a Chevrolet Millennium Yellow, a color it has gained under its current ownership.
The body of the car was fully removed from its frame and placed onto a rotisserie for its repaint.

Some more exterior features of the car include the fuel injection badging, and the chrome bumpers and trip.

Five-Spoke Wheels And The Interior

The wheels are five-spoke Foose Design Legend wheels, and are with Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires. Impressively, the Wagon has power steering and there have been suspension modifications too. These include the replacement of the springs, tubular A-arms and lowered front spindles.

The cabin is partially stripped, with a front bench seat trimmed out in gray. Some equipment inside includes a Hurst shifter, a Vintage Air climate control system, the dash-mounted clock plus a classic lockable glove box. The steering-wheel is wood trimmed and behind it is a Classic Instruments 140 mph speedometer.

V8 Magic Under The Hood

It’s the V8 power under the hood that helps to make this car so special. The car has a 454 ci V8 engine that it gained under its current ownership. There are quite a few modifications to this engine too. There is the Edelbrock finned air cleaner, Edelbrock electronic fuel injection and ignition systems and the JEGS in-line fuel filter.

Transmission wise, the Handyman Wagon has a B&M TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, which drives the rear wheels, and a Ford 9-inch rear axle. The car was actually acquired by the seller’s father in 2007 who is selling it on his behalf, and it also comes with a Wisconsin title too.
