Camaro

Transforming a 1969 Camaro Z/28 into a Slot Car Track.

Bobby Rahal, a former racing car driver, commissioned this amazing 1969 Camaro-turned-slot-car-track.

Unfortunately, I never had a set that came close to the Slot Mods Muscle Cars racing set, which features a blue Sunoco 1969 Roger Penske Camaro replica.

The Glen, with its distinctive blue armco barriers, period-correct signage, banners, bridges, and structures, is distributed across a real all-steel body 1969 Z/28 Camaro, and wears the livery of the iconic #6 Roger Penske/Sunoco car, which Mark Donohue raced in the 1960s Trans-Am series.

The Camaro is spot-on, down to the Penske Blue color and ultra-rare Minilite racing wheels and tires.

The slot cars are 1/32-scale and may be driven on the 11 curves that have been replicated on the track.

The attention to detail on the model track is really impressive. The track is even illuminated with LEDs. A total of 12 slot automobiles are available.

This old race Camaro has always appealed to me, and I can see myself having my own replica in my garage alongside this uber cool matching Slot Mods ’69 Camaro!
