‘Stranger Things’ Have Happened To This BMW 7 Series.

A clever digital artist, and most likely a fan of the Netflix show, has reimagined the 1980s star of the show with some subtle tweaks and changes.

Stranger Things is easily one of the most popular TV series in the world right now. The show airs on Netflix and is currently in its fourth season, with an all-star cast. Set in the 1980s, one of the stars of the show has to be the BMW 733i that we see Steve Harrington driving, and this is a car that will appeal to many.

Talented digital car renderer Musa Rio Tjahjono has crafted this rendering of a BMW 7 Series for Stranger Things.

Checking Out The BMW In Detail

The car in the series is a 1983 BMW 733i, and it’s become as much of a star as the cast itself. The BMW is in a lovely burgundy color, and that is the look that Tjahjono has gone for with his rendering.

Naturally, there are some subtle differences to the real life car. For starters, the one in the series is not a modified example. But Tjahjono has made some subtle tweaks to this car, so it is not exactly the same. Most noticeable is perhaps the stance the car has, with it sitting much lower to the ground than the standard 733i.

Muscular And Outlandish Wheels

The car in the series encapsulates the 1980s. But this rendered version would look a bit out of place. That is because of the wheel design the BMW now has. Tjahjono has added in very different wheels, featuring a bowl like design with multiple, small spokes in the center. The wheels themselves are clearly bigger, as are the tires. And as we can see, they fill up the wheel arch nicely without Tjahjono having to make any changes to the fenders that the car has. This is all about subtle differences.

A Car Fit For The Big Screen

These are really the only major changes to the car compared to the one we see in the series. There are some more subtle revisions, such as the change to the door handles and the fact that this is not an exact representation of the car from the series, particularly when we see the rear taillight design. But this very much echoes the ethos of the original car in the show, and it looks spectacular in that very fetching burgundy color. This rendering shows that you don’t need to make major changes to a car in order to alter its appearance.
